A New Chapter

My LinkedIn profile has never had so much traffic as it has over the last week. I updated my status to reflect a new position I think most thought I had traded in my uniform. I have not! I have, however, accepted a two-year term as an Advisory Council Member for the ACT Ministerial Council for Veterans and their families.

I am truly excited and surprised by the appointment. For those of you who know me, I have moved a lot with the ADF. I have three children and one has required the extra love and assistance with some special needs. It has been a hard road, and the things I discovered along the way were by sheer luck.

I hope to bring my knowledge of military life and my passion for learning together, so I may make a change and help the ACT Veteran community.
